Paul's 2011 Birthday Plans

So here goes. What does everyone think about collecting money to give to GOAL in honour of Paul's birthday?

So here is what we have so far.

OR you can PM me and I will give you an address so you can mail me a check. The fundraising starts now and goes until April 5th

sounds like a great idea! I would love to do that, I was wondering what to give him, and since I'm heading to Hawaii soon I was going to pick him up something special from there, but I like this idea better!

I love it! GOAL will be especially depleted after all it has been doing in Haiti and now with this earthquake and tsunami- wow!
and any and ALL amounts are great- we have a basilica here that was built on change sent in.

You can give whatever you like. I do have a PayPal account so folks could just send money to that and just before his birthday I could tally it up and send a check directly to GOAL. Or folks can just do it on their own. Whichever works best.

Great idea! We know how much Paul loves GOAL and how he is dedicated to it. There is nothing better than to give whatever you can. As they always say "Together We Can Make a Difference"
Paul will love it more than any gift he could get. I'm in!!!

Great minds think alike? I was already thinking about that.

Would it be better to "combine" and have it from his Babes? Or everyone just do separate? I don't do paypal.

I could take checks, but if we agree to that I don't want folks to share that information outside the forum. People need to come here to get it.

I think it would be better to put it all together, that way if you can only afford a little, it will look like a lot with all the others, That is if Staci doesn't mind!!

How long do we have before you have to have it all, Staci?

I love Paypal, it make it so easy to pay for anything and have never had a bit of trouble with them.

Well we could do it up to his birthday, that could be the cut off date. What do you think?

I am hoping to drive more traffic here, so beyond reminding folks to come visit the site I don't want to give out too much information.

Well maybe a week before his Birthday so it gets to him by his birthday? I don't think Paul reads much on FB except, hopefully, his own mail or his fan sites there. As long as you just say it is for his birthday and nothing about GOAL, then people will find out when they come here.

It's just that we have so many members who probably have never been here and we have to try to get as many as we can. Maybe even write to the other fan sites there and ask them to join us in a great effort for Paul. How could they refuse? Well, you never know and there are still people who just have to send him presents. Like how many Oreos can he eat [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

It would be great to overwhelm him with this gift as it will be so badly needed in Japan.

It isn't Paul finding out about it. It is my personal information being shared online that I am not comfortable with. Here in this forum is it is protected some, but on Facebook anyone can see it.

Also your Paypal acct. has "Fans of Paul Byrom" doesn't it?

Unless you don't want that many people coming here, I don't see a lot of personal information.

If you are worred about that, I will be glad to repost it on FB (which actually I did try and it really messed up, FB, that is) I could try again. Maybe Mariclare or Shams could post it as Fans of Paul Byrom.

I know there are some wierd people on some of the fans sites. but most of them are just fine.

You are the leader and am just one of the followers (which is the way I like it) It's up to you, I just want to do this for Paul.

Well there are a few folks who don't have PayPal so I was considering sharing my address too so they could send checks...... we can always direct people here for information. The weird people out there I am related to.....

If people want to send it directly to you, you could maybe email them your address so it does not show on the site. Or a P.O. Box if it is not any trouble. I know it makes a lot more work for you though. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Great! Are you going to put down everyones name so Paul knows who gave? Not the amount anyone put in just their name.
Maybe we can post about it 3 times a day on FB and at least a couple of times on Twitter.
I really want this to be something that us and Paul can be proud of. He deserves it and all the people it will help will be wonderful.

Mine will be there in a week or so. I just made a donation the day before you came out with this, so need some time to recoup. ; )

I am going to do that yes. I already talked with James Kelly of GOAL and told him of our plans. He is seeing Paul later in April so he will have a list of people who gave to GOAL to forward on to Paul.

I will be sending my donation along shortly but we did decide that this money was going to be earmarked for Japan in Paul's name, didn't we?
